We do our best — but we can be wrong
We work hard to conduct investigations in a fair and honest way using submitted evidence. We are human and we can make mistakes. Some investigations take a long time because we want to be confident the evidence is solid, and we may even try to reach out to the alleged scammers to give them a chance to respond.
No automatic guilt
ScamVault does not automatically label projects as scams. Risk scores and investigation statuses are based solely on submitted and verified evidence. A high risk score is a warning, not a conviction.
Community submissions
A large portion of our content comes from the community. We moderate and try to verify what we publish, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of every submission.
Use at your own risk

Are you the subject of an investigation?
If your company or project believes an investigation is unfair or inaccurate, you can request a revalidation. We will re-examine the evidence and respond.
